If I had a dollar for every buyer who's asked me about Stonebridge over the years, I'd be writing this from a beach. It's one of Saskatoon's most-searched neighbourhoods — and once you spend time there, it's easy to see why.
Stonebridge sits in south-central Saskatoon, just off Circle Drive in the Nutana area. It's a newer community — homebuilding started around 2005 and the neighbourhood filled out fast, reaching full buildout by about 2015. With roughly 14,000 residents, it's one of the largest neighbourhoods in the city, and it has a settled, family-friendly feel despite its age.
The streets are quiet, the homes are well kept, and about 8 in 10 residents own their homes. It's a middle-income, family-oriented community — the kind of place where people move for the schools and the convenience, and stay because it works.
Convenience is the headline. The Stonegate Shopping Centre anchors the west side of the neighbourhood with Walmart, Home Depot, HomeSense, grocery, restaurants, medical offices and more — most daily errands don't require leaving Stonebridge at all. Preston Avenue's shops and restaurants are minutes away too.
Commuting is straightforward: Circle Drive wraps right around it, with interchanges at Clarence Avenue, Preston Avenue, and Highway 11 via Vic Boulevard. Downtown is roughly a 10–15 minute drive, and the university area is close.
Families are well served. The joint-use school on Stonebridge Common — Chief Whitecap School (public) and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School — opened in fall 2017 and sits at the heart of the neighbourhood. For high school, Aden Bowman, Walter Murray and Holy Cross are the nearby options.
Stonebridge has over 120 acres of parkland woven through it. Alexander MacGillivray Young Park and Peter Zakreski Park are the big ones, plus a long list of smaller neighbourhood parks, pathways and ponds. If green space matters to your family, this neighbourhood delivers more than most.
You'll find one of the widest mixes of housing in the city here: single-family homes, townhomes, duplexes and condos, most built between 2005 and 2017. Current MLS® listings put the average listing price around $488,000 — roughly in line with the Saskatoon average — with condos averaging around $269,000 and townhomes around $400,000. There's genuinely something here for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers alike.
